Manchester United are looking into a potential move for Lucas Vazquez, a report from Fichajes claims.
Vazquez has spent his entire career with Los Blancos and he has mostly featured as an impact player in the wide attacking positions.
However, he has excelled this season in the right-back role where he has already made seven starts across all competitions.
With just over six months left on his contract, Vazquez may be on the move and Fichajes claims that United could attempt to sign him.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been the undisputed choice in the right-back role for United, but they have lacked the presence of a solid back-up.
Both Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Diogo Dalot (on loan at AC Milan) are looking for permanent exits and Vazquez has been identified as a possible player to reinforce the position.
Vazquez has impressed with his defensive awareness despite being a winger by trade. He has averaged nearly two tackles and one interception per 90 minutes.
Brandon Williams is another option for United in the right-back department, but reports claim that he could be loaned out at the turn of the year.
