Liverpool are one of the clubs in the running to sign Folarin Balogun from Arsenal, a report from The Athletic claims.
The 19-year-old made the breakthrough with the senior squad this term and he has bagged two goals from four Europa League appearances.
His current deal expires at the end of the campaign, but so far, the hierarchy have yet to convince him to extend his stay.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners are bracing for the departure of Balogun and the Reds are among the clubs interested.
The north London side wanted at least £15m for Balogun last summer, but none of the suitors including Sheffield United came close to the price.
They may be tempted to sanction his departure at the turn of the year and reports claim that Balogun would favour a move to Germany.
Balogun is said to be keen on commanding regular first-team football and believes a switch to Bundesliga would aid his development.
