Chelsea have been tipped to sign Kai Havertz shortly after the completion of Bayer Leverkusen’s Europa League campaign.
The Germany international has had a fine season with the Bundesliga outfit and he has bagged 18 goals and nine assists across all competitions.
Over the past few weeks, the Blues have been in contact with Leverkusen, but they have been unable to strike an agreement due to the £90m price tag.
Leverkusen are scheduled to take on Inter Milan in the Europa League quarter-final and their elimination could pave the way for Havertz’s exit.
Chelsea are hoping to finalise a structured deal for the versatile attacker whereby they could pay a big fee up front to land his signature.
Leverkusen are likely to consider the proposal so long as their price tag for the player is met with the inclusion of easily achievable add-ons.
